This past holiday season, Pathway assisted 18 Pathway School families through our Helping Hands Project. Each year, The Pathway staff and community support our families who are in need of food, clothing, and gifts during the holidays. Since the program began in 2016, Pathway has been able to help a total of 117 families through this program.

Pathway parents submit a request to be included in the gift providing program and all information from the families is kept completely confidential. Confidentiality is very important to this program as Pathway wants families to feel comfortable receiving assistance. Once the request is received, families provide a list of needs which can include items such as food, clothing, housewares, gift cards, toys, books, electronics, and more. In addition to organizing donations, our staff members volunteer to make deliveries for the families that are unable to pick up the requested items at The Pathway School.

Ms. Thomas, Pathway’s Receptionist and Employee Relations Coordinator who orchestrates the program each year stated, “This project is a perfect example of why I love working at Pathway. The appreciation our families have for our staff and the entire school community is something I hear from parents all the time and I never get tired of hearing it!”
