Pathway Upper School student Jhon placed first nationally by answering 999/1000 questions correct in a national Sumdog contest. This mathematics competition was held between December 11th and December 17th. Jhon competed against 8,642 other students throughout the country to receive first place in the contest. According to Sumdog’s website, Sumdog’s free online math contests are a fun way to motivate students as they compete against other classes and schools, locally or nationally.
Pathway encourages its students to join local and national Sumdog competitions as part of our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programming. These activities challenge students’ mathematics skills as they learn valuable lessons in working individually and as a classroom team.
