Dear Pathway Families:

Congratulations on surviving your (and our) first week of online learning!  I have heard from our staff that the students have been engaged and actively participating in the week’s exercises.  Thank you for working with us and helping to make the first week successful.

Beginning next week, we will be offering live online classes and new academic content.  Each week, we will hold live classes Monday through Thursday, and Friday will be a review day, when your student will be able to view video recordings of the classes held earlier in the week.  We are hopeful this won’t be too stressful for you and your students.  Please know that we are all figuring this out as we go.  No system will be perfect, nor will it be perfect for every one of our students.  We will individualize our services as much as we can.  Please let us know how we can best help you and your student(s)!

In addition to academics, we have been offering related services, e.g. speech, OT, reading support and counseling, coupled with some elective classes and careers education.  We will still be holding the senior seminar for our graduating seniors.

As a reminder, this coming week was scheduled to be spring break.  Because of the school closure in mid-March, we will NOT be having spring break, but we will not hold classes Friday, April 10th nor Monday, April 13th.  If you chose to hold your student out of classes next week, please let the homeroom teacher know.

Below is a list of new days off for the remainder of the school year for your student:

  • April 10th
  • April 13th
  • May 1st
  • May 22nd
  • May 25th.

If there is a need to amend the 2019-20 school year further, I will communicate that to you.

If you have questions, feel free to email info@pathwayschool.org.  If you have technology questions or concerns, email techsupport@pathwayschool.org.  If you need help with a behavior or clinical issue, feel free to dial our helpline 610-277-0660 x 444.

We are here to support you.  Reach out and we will suggest solutions.

As always, thank you for your support.  We will get through this together.

Have a good, restful weekend.  Be well.
