    About The Pathway School

    Located on a beautiful 12-acre campus in Jeffersonville, PA, The Pathway School is a nonprofit special education school serving students ages 5–21 from over 50 school districts and charter schools.

    The Role

    As an Upper School Teacher, you’ll design and deliver individualized instruction that meets students where they are—and helps them grow into confident, capable learners.

    Whether you’re teaching ELA, math fundamentals, or functional academics, your work will directly impact students’ independence and future success.

    What You’ll Do

    • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
    • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with PA curriculum
    • Adapt instruction to meet diverse academic, social, and emotional needs
    • Create a structured, positive classroom using PBIS and behavior support strategies
    • Monitor and track student progress using data-driven practices
    • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, specialists, and families
    • Facilitate IEP meetings and communicate student progress
    • Support students in developing real-world, functional, and community-based skills

    What We’re Looking For

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education (required)
    • PA Special Education Certification (K–12 or 7–12 required)
    • Secondary certification in ELA or Math strongly preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a special education setting
    • Experience supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs
    • Strong classroom management, organization, and collaboration skills
    • A creative, flexible mindset and passion for student success

    Position Details

    • Full-Time | 10-Month Position
    • Upper School | Education Department
    • Reports to Upper School Principal
