Job Coach – Open Position

Assist young adults in the Career Education Program by providing hands-on instruction, data-gathering and monitoring both on-campus and off-campus.

Reports To

Reports directly to the Supervisor of Career Education.

Position Schedule

10 Month Position (6.5 hrs/day – 32.5 hrs/week).

 

Qualifications

About the Role

As a Job Coach, you’ll work hands-on with young adults in our Career Education Program, helping them develop job skills, confidence, and independence. This role includes both on-campus and community-based work experiences and is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and making a visible impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Coach and support students in career education programs on- and off-campus.
  • Provide job training, instruction, and real-time feedback.
  • Help students navigate job tasks, workplace expectations, and social interactions.
  • Track student progress and collect required data.
  • Model positive workplace behaviors and gradually encourage independence.
  • Ensure student safety and provide transportation using school vans.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Vocational Services, or related field is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with young adults in special education.
  • Willingness to learn behavior management strategies and career curriculum.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working both independently and in a team.
  • Valid PA driver’s license and ability to transport students.

Physical & Compliance Requirements

  • Ability to work on-campus and in the community, indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to meet physical demands including walking, standing, and lifting.
  • Must pass required background checks, clearances, drug test, and TB test
