Classroom teachers are all certified special education teachers. Special education teachers who teach subjects above the elementary level are generally also certified in that subject area. New teachers go through a year of instruction training, and the school places heavy emphasis on ongoing staff development. The staff regularly participate in various conferences, both locally and out-of-state, in order to remain current.
