Reading Therapy
Reading Therapy provides direct individual, group, and consultative services. Utilizing a diagnostic/prescriptive model, students are tested and their strengths and needs are identified in the following areas: sight vocabulary, word recognition skills in context, decoding skills, comprehension skills, and listening comprehension skills. Based upon these results, previous information and observations, an approach is chosen to strengthen the student's skills (i.e. phonics, whole word, visualization). The reading therapist is also available to consult with all classroom teachers. |
