Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy provides students support for skills in self-care, functional mobility, positioning, communication, sensory motor processing, fine and gross motor performance, independent living, pre-vocational and vocational skills.
In keeping with the functional approach to occupational therapy, students’ may receive occupational therapy intervention in their classroom, the Occupational Therapy gymnasium, a residential setting, a work setting, the cafeteria or in the community.
For students requiring direct and/or group services, Occupational Therapy is an Individualized Education Program (IEP) support service and the therapists are members of the IEP team. |
