Student services at Pathway cultivate the individual strengths of each child. As in most public schools, Pathway’s elementary classes are self-contained with a single instructor, while middle and upper school students change classes and have a variety of instructors. Each year 10-25 students graduate and receive their high school diploma. Specialized programs include basic life skill instruction for students who function at lower cognitive levels and a unique career education program that prepares students for transition into the working world or higher education. The residential program reinforces personal responsibility in such areas as personal hygiene, cleanliness, activity assistance, including 24-hour medical and nursing services as required.
