What is Extended School Year?

Pathway offers a comprehensive Extended School Year (ESY) program with various tracks that focuses on each student's affective, academic, social, communication, and functional needs in various structured learning environments in school and in the community. The Extended School Year program supports each student's IEP goals while providing students unique opportunities to further develop and increase their repertoire of interests. The development of social skills is embedded throughout Extended School Year program activities.

Students may choose from one of the offerings listed below:

Welcome to The Pathway School

The Pathway School is a nonprofit approved private school founded in 1961 that serves students with neurological impairment, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, psychological disorders and serious emotional disturbance. Pathway was one of the first schools in the nation to unify the disciplines of psychology, psychiatry, medicine, social work, and education. FIND A PLACE at Pathway, where we build academic, social and life skills in students with special needs to promote their success and independence after Pathway.
