The PathwaySchool graciously accepts gifts of real and personal property, which help to create a wonderful learning environment for its students.
Gifts of Real Property
Gifts of Real Property (Real Estate) can be gifted in a number of ways. The School will accept an outright gift of real estate that is free of mortgages or liens, subject to board approval. An outright donation is an effective means of transferring appreciated property, while avoiding all capital gains and creating a charitable deduction for the fair market value of the gift. Another way to gift real estate is to transfer the deed of the real estate to The Pathway School while retaining the right to use the property for life.
Gifts of Personal Property
A Gift In-Kind is a gift of tangible property that is of value to the School. Typical gifts-in-kind to The Pathway School includes technology, furniture, and more. For gifts valued less than $1,000, The Pathway School may issue an immediate charitable tax receipt for the donation's fair market value. For those gifts valued at more than $1,000, special appraisal guidelines must be followed.
